Date for the Beacon Bonfire 2026 Has Been Announced
The Beacon Bonfire is an awesome local festival put on the the Bonfire Works Foundation. Last year, there was a whole week of performances all over town. Some of them were even right outside on Main Street, which was very convenient for getting to see anything with Kids. They paid out $30k to artists, according to their report, which is amazing!

One day of music, art and joy for families, friends and neighbors. Come gather around the fire with us as we light the way to Beacon Bonfire 2027. Free and open to all ages.
This year, it looks like they're dialing things back a bit, and holding one day of events at the KuBe Art Center in the old high school. They're promising "One day of music, art and joy for families, friends and neighbors." I really appreciate they make it accessible to families.hoping to do something bigger for next year:

It looks like their fundraiser for this year may not have gotten the love it deserved, (I don't think I knew about it until I went looking), so let's all chip in a bit to bring it back strong next year!
Update October 22, 2026 - Lineup Announced
The Lineup for the 'Baby Bonfire' of 2026 has been announced and you can find it on their homepage here.
It looks like there will be performances both inside and outside the KuBe with an outdoor stage complementing the one indoors. The Synthesizer petting zoo outside sounds like a fun time and there'll be drum circles, opera, galleries, and dozens of other things. It's a really interesting list of events.
There's also a performer doing a show to benefit the festival, so check out Vinny DePonto:
