On Saturday, October 17 at 2:00 PM! What happens to a city's history when so much of it exists online? Join the Newburgh Free Library to learn how its web archiving project is preserving Newburgh's history as it is being made through the Internet Archive's CommunityWebs Program. The collection captures a wide range of digital materials from the past twenty years, including news articles, blogs, websites, and information about proposed urban development plans. Together, these resources document Newburgh's changing neighborhoods, planning conversations, civic life, and development over time. Discover how digital archives can preserve the stories and ideas shaping Newburgh today—and ensure that this part of the city's history remains accessible to future generations. This program is in collaboration with Archtober Newburgh
