One room, four hours, and a former bank behaving very badly. Dashiell Hammett published The Maltese Falcon in 1930. Everybody in it is lying, everybody is using a false name, and everybody wants the same object. On Saturday August 29 we are turning the whole downstairs into that world. A themed cocktail party with vaudeville acts working the room all night, projections across every surface, and two cocktails invented for this night and available on no other night. The story runs loose through all of it. Nobody sits down. Nobody announces anything. You will be somewhere in the middle of it with a drink in your hand. Come as somebody else. Don’t break character.
